Jacob & Co. Brilliant

Defined by its lavish use of gemstones, the Brilliant range represents Jacob & Co.'s jewellery watchmaking tradition in its most concentrated form. Rounds of brilliant cut diamonds line the bezel, mother of pearl dials provide a luminous base, and hour markers are set with coloured stones including sapphires in blue, pink, and multicolour variations, as well as rare tsavorite garnets cut in distinctive kite shapes. Cases are offered in stainless steel and 18ct rose gold, typically at 34mm or 38mm, and satin or leather straps complete the presentation.

Beneath the decoration, the Brilliant keeps things purposefully understated, running on quartz movements with sapphire crystal glass and modest 30m water resistance. The focus is firmly on the gem-setting artistry rather than mechanical complication, making it a natural choice for those who approach watchmaking from a fine jewellery perspective. Several references are produced as limited editions, adding a degree of collectability to what is already a distinctly luxurious proposition.
