Breitling Navitimer

Introduced in 1952, the Navitimer was developed in partnership with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and quickly became one of the most recognisable pilot's watches ever made. Its defining feature is the circular slide rule bezel, which allows aviators to perform in-flight calculations including fuel consumption, airspeed, and climb rates. That combination of technical function and bold aesthetic has kept it in continuous production for over seven decades.

Today the Navitimer is produced in a range of case sizes, typically spanning 41mm to 46mm, in stainless steel, gold, and two-tone configurations. Movements are chronograph-equipped, with modern references housing COSC-certified Breitling calibres. The dial retains its characteristically busy layout, with three subdials and the iconic beaded bezel, making it a watch suited to those who appreciate aviation heritage alongside mechanical substance.
