Casio G Shock

The G-Shock range has been in continuous production since 1983, when Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe set out to create a watch that could survive a drop from a three-storey building. The result was a line built around a triple protection structure, isolating the movement from shock, gravity, and magnetic interference. Cases are typically resin, though steel and titanium variants exist across the range. Features commonly found across the lineup include solar charging, multi-band radio synchronisation, countdown timers, and world time functions.

The range spans from affordable everyday sports watches to specialist models designed for military, aviation, and outdoor use. The Master of G sub-series includes mud, water, and cold-resistant references built to specific professional standards. Despite the technical focus, G-Shock has also maintained a strong following in streetwear and collector communities, producing numerous limited editions and designer collaborations over the decades.
